Who are we?

We are members of NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association

Erith Operatic Society is a small friendly Amateur Operatic Society based in Erith in the London Borough of Bexley. We perform one show a year at Erith Playhouse in addition to our annual concert at Hall Place Bexley.

We specialise in Musicals and light operettas with a strong chorus element - shows with plenty of humour and rousing choruses full of good sing able tunes.

The emphasis of our performances is enjoyment for both for our audience and ourselves.

If you like Singing and Dancing!

We rehearse at St Paulinus Church Hall in Crayford on a Thursday once a week from the first Thursday in September until our show (which is usually around April). We start promptly at 8pm and finish at 10pm and closer to the show there may be additional rehearsals.

We also hold several social functions throughout the year, events such as quizzes, barbeques and theatre trips.

If you enjoy singing and dancing would like to join the society please contact our Membership Secretary alternatively just turn up to one of our rehearsals and introduce yourself to anybody as a potential new member and we will make sure you receive a good welcome.

I'd like to help but don't want to be on stage

Like any group, there are always lots of jobs to do that don't involve being on stage - helping with costumes, props, set building and painting etc. If you would like to get involved please contact any committee member.
